Show, Don't tell!

Show, Don't tell!

Video Marketing

During the last 20 years, our lives have become more diversified opening to new technology and adapting more day after day to the new digital world of information. The internet is full of all kind of information and data that are shaped as texts, photos, videos, and a lot more.

Recent studies predicted that by 2018 the internet traffic will contain 79% of videos that are uploaded on the World Wide Web in every passing second.  Can you believe that every month over 1 billion users spend over 4 billion hours watching YouTube videos? In fact, almost 4 days’ worth of videos are uploaded every minute!

Do you think that CEOs and marketing managers will watch carelessly and lose this great opportunity?

The process has already started and many organizations are starting to lean more toward digital marketing, and the best way to do this is through VIDEOS!
According to the Web Video Marketing Council (WVM), the sales and marketing programs are more including online videos for most business-to-business (b2b) organizations, with 96% of those surveyed saying they now engage in video content marketing. About 64% of them observed high increase in their sales and marketing results.

As the Executive vice president of Flimp Media, Chip Arndt said "Videos convey an enormous amount of information quickly, concisely, and in a fun way that is easily measurable."

In order for video marketing to be effective, marketer should study their targets deliberately to get into their minds and attract them to buy the product/service.
Obviously, human brains are much smarter than machines and they wouldn’t watch a 10-minutes-long advertisement if it was not worth it or it does not deliver the desired benefits. This is why marketers should design videos that will look superior and will attract many internet surfers to watch it.

E-books, the e-readers tool

E-books, the e-readers tool

E-books

An e-book (electronic book) is an electronic version of the original printed book which can be preceded using any type of screened devices like computers and smartphones.

E-books have a lot of features that enable people to use digital devices as mediums to read books. They are no less than normally-publicized books, as they show the exact fonts, photos, and contexts.

When the idea was first proposed by Bob Brown in 1930, it was not commercially accepted by e-readers. Furthermore, The first e-book patent has not been agreed on upon which inventor because some of them happened in relatively approximate time periods.

Are e-books Good or bad?

There are many advantages in eBooks that qualifies them to be a popular solution for worldwide readers.

1.     Environmentally friendly: from environmentalist's point of view, it is a lot better to read from a long lasting portable device than to cut down hundreds of trees to print those books.

2.     Convenience: Readers do not have to worry about how to get rid of books that they did not like, or how many books should they carry if they want to travel or a trip. It is just a matter of few megabytes!

3.     Easy to use: Perhaps one essential acquired benefit of electronic books is that they allow users to save storage and adjust font size to their appropriate eyesight. They can move comfortably between pages without having to worry about paper cuts or paper torn.

4.     Save money and effort: Book lovers can save a lot of money through buying books online. In fact, a lot of free books are already available.

On the other hand, to use eBooks means that you have to give up on other benefits of using printed books.

1.     Library loss: acquiring a book library is becoming less common nowadays that people no longer need to store books in physical locations.

2.     Weaknesses eyesight: As facing bright screens for long hours affects eyesight of the reader and causes some health issues.

3.     Tactile loss: Many former readers enjoy touching book papers and smelling it while reading.

Are printed books endangered?

Researchers have found that e-readers in U.S. increased to 28% in 2014 compared to 2013 with a percentage of 23%, and the number is increasing!

Many online companies provide e-books that can be purchased with lower prices like Epay and Amazon.

The stories and texts we read every day on mobile phones, televisions, or the Internet have weakened the value of books in our minds. However, there are still people who admire and value these books, so apparently this is not going to happen in the near future.

Nokia bankruptcy

Nokia Company
It is a telecommunications company and a Finnish information technology multinational based in Espoo , Finland The main product is mobile phones Nokia was the biggest seller of mobile phones from 1998 to 2012 .In 2007, Nokia accounted for more than 40% of the sales of mobile phones around the world And in 2012 with the introduction of device " I Phone " produced by Apple. Decreased the company's profits and revenues . By 2013 Nokia sell its phones industry to Microsoft Corp.

Reasons for Bankruptcy
Problems began when Ailub became the CEO of the company . , The company's market capitalization drop by about $ 23 million, which makes him as one of the worst CEOs in history . The biggest mistake that Ailub choose to run Microsoft's Windows system as the only platform for Nokia smart phones . The company has also embarked on a program desperate to cut costs, which included the cancellation of thousands of jobs, Skilled leaders were forced to leave the company , And also many talents leave the company

How to Succeed
In my opinion , Companies need to continue creativity and innovation in order to improve technology . also The big companies have to keep a record of tracking creative youth . The large companies should not afraid of the tradition , if Nokia immediately began developing products like the I Phone , with addressing issues related to patents effectively , the portable devices industry it looks very different today . The company if able to make the consumer happy , whether a large companies or a small companies will be successful and the Companies that lose sight of this fact will fail .
